Royal Rumble 3
The Pile O’ Bones Derby Club played host to the Oil City Derby Girls at the Caledonian Curling Club in Regina as the PBDC All Star Sugar Skulls faced off against the OCDG All Stars. With mere moments left and a score tied at 187 both the PBDC and OCDG had the crowd at the edge of their seats in anticipation of how it would end. In an memorable final jam bursting with action Oil City was able to edge out there opponents by 11 points.

Chinook City Presents: Roller Derby Double Header!
Chinook City Roller Derby put on an evening jam packed with both men’s and women’s roller derby at the Village Square Arena in Calgary. The River City Riot visited from Edmonton to square off against the CCRD Glenmore Reservoir Dogs for the first time. Then the East Kootenay Roller Derby League’s Killer Rollbots battled it out with the CCRD Kill Jills. While both visiting teams fought hard it was Chinook City that owned the night by pulling out big wins in both games.

CCRD Kill Jills (271) vs EKRDL Killer Rollbots (73)
Calgarians were probably overwhelmed by the sheer amount of roller derby going on throughout the city. While the CCRD were playing across town the Calgary Roller Derby Association’s Rookies tested their metal against the St. Albert Heavenly Rollers Rookies at the Triwood Arena. Both teams fought hard and the CRDA certainly kept the score close but it was St. Albert who came out on top.
